Research

Allodynamics is a research-driven company. Our work rests on a single scientific thesis — the study of allostasis and the forces, endogenous and exogenous, that govern it. We call that study allodynamics, and it is the through-line across everything we build.

Scientific foundation

Allostasis is the capacity of a living system to hold stability under load — to remain regulated as conditions change. Five determinants converge to shape it: genetics, environment, behavior, psychology, and physiology.

We study the change (Δ) between those determinants — how they interact, compound, and trade off — rather than any one in isolation. That intersection is where the meaningful dynamics live, and it is the object of our research.

We apply artificial intelligence together with mathematical and computational modeling to the many dimensions of allostasis. Whole-body flux balance analysis — the engine behind our micronutrition work — is one application of that broader approach. The same methodological core underlies each of our verticals.

converging, through change, on allostasis.

Collaboration

Most nutrition science is built on small studies and self-reported food logs. We want to change the resolution. As the app grows, users will be able to opt into research trials — and, if they choose, enrich their picture by connecting additional data they control, such as wearables, lab results, and other health metrics. Participants can choose to contribute this modeled and connected data to studies we intend to run in partnership with universities and research institutions — always with their consent, always under their control, and always privacy-protected.

Our aim is to build one of the richest real-world datasets on human micronutrition, and to share it with the researchers who can push the science of nutrition, metabolism, and allostasis forward.

We’re building this program now. We welcome conversations with labs and research groups whose work touches allostasis, metabolic modeling, or the determinants of human health — reach us at research@allodynamics.com.

Publications

This page will become the home for our white papers and published findings. They are forthcoming — we will post them here as the work matures.
